    Salary:  £12.21 per hour for candidates aged 18+

     

    Role Purpose

    As a Visitor Experience Assistant, you’ll be responsible for delivering a fantastic visitor experience at Windermere Jetty Museum Café. You will be serving customers and making up drink and cake orders, clearing, running food and pot washing in our busy café environment.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    To serve customers taking food and drink orders using our till system.
    Clear tables, pot wash and ensure that the counter and tables are kept clean and presentable at all times.
    Prepare drink and cake orders (barista training available if required).
    Ensure the fridges and counters are always well stocked.
    ·        The role will have responsibilities relating to the opening and closing procedures and for the health and safety procedures for each area.

    Person Specification

    Essential Skills and Experience

    Experience delivering a high-quality standard of food and beverage preparation.
    Previous experience working in a busy café environment.
    Able to communicate clearly face to face.
    Can demonstrate a consistently high standard of customer service with an eye for detail.
    Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergens
    Desirable Skills and Experience

    Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification (desirable but able to complete during job role)
    Barista trained (desirable but can train on the job)
    Key Personal Attributes

    Friendly and approachable: Welcoming and warm attitude with all customers.
    Proactive and Self-motivated: Ability to take initiative and work well on their own.
    Enthusiastic: Keen to learn and a positive attitude.
    Working Conditions

    Location: Windermere Jetty Museum Café (primarily with the option to support our other sites)
    ·        Hours: Zero hour. Windermere Jetty Museum is open 7 days a week, the number of hours & shifts are flexible to suit the needs of the rota. The role is primarily daytime hours but the post holder may be required to work occasional late evenings for special events such as private functions.
